Salaries and perks in journalism are attractive. But these differ in various newspapers according to their circulation. A trainee journalist in a metro city gets Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 p.m., after he or she completes six months training. An Asst. Editor or a senior reporter is paid Rs. 2,5000 to 35,000 p.m. Editor in national dailies are paid about Rs.1.5 lacs to Rs. 2 lacs p.m
