To be eligible for undergraduate courses in audiology in Jamnagar, one must have completed 10+2 with science subjects i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Selection is made on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or entrance tests. Courses available for 10+2 students are Diploma in speech therapy and Audiology

An Audiologist gets between 15,000 to 20,000, in the beginning. After having experience, he/she can earn as good as 25,000 per month and more. If one goes for some research work one can even get 1,00,000 per assignment. However it depends upon the assignment and the importance of it. Opportunities for Audiologists are available in Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Care Facilities, Industry, Home Health Agencies, Long-term Care Facilities, Research Labs, Centers for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, Public or Private Schools, Private Practice, Community Clinics, College/University Clinics, Health Department, State or Government Agencies, etc. For practising, as an Audiologist, one needs to be registered with either Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) or Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
